1. Acceptable Use

We strive to build a welcoming community for setup enthusiasts. To maintain this environment, you agree to abide by the following standards:

• Content Standards: All posts, comments, and interactions must be respectful. Harassment, hate speech, or explicit content will not be tolerated.
• Prohibited Behaviour: You must not use the platform for any illegal activities, spamming, exploiting vulnerabilities, or distributing malware. Automation tools (like scrapers or bots) are strictly prohibited without prior authorization.

2. User-Generated Content Ownership & Licensing

You retain ownership of any content you upload, including photos, kitlists, and configurations. However, by submitting content, you grant us certain permissions:

• You grant Kitlist a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, distribute, display, and use your content in connection with operating the platform.
• You confirm that you have the right to share the content, and it does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.

3. Affiliate Link Disclosure & Amazon Associates Program

Kitlist is designed to help people share and discover gear through real setups. Some pages on Kitlist contain affiliate links — links that, when clicked and followed by a purchase, may earn Kitlist or the content creator a commission at no extra cost to you.

• What are affiliate links? Affiliate links are tracked URLs that attribute a purchase to a referrer. When you click an annotated product link on a kitlist and complete a purchase, the creator or Kitlist may receive a small commission from the retailer.
• Amazon Associates Program: Kitlist participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
• Creator affiliate IDs: Creators can connect their own Amazon Associate ID in their account settings. When set, their ID is automatically appended to Amazon product links on their kitlists, allowing them to earn commissions directly. Kitlist does not take a cut of creator-attributed earnings.
• No editorial influence: Affiliate relationships do not influence the content, rankings, or editorial integrity of kitlists on the platform. Creators share gear they actually use.
• Third-party purchases: We do not guarantee the price, availability, condition, or warranty of items purchased through external links. All purchases are handled entirely by the respective retailer.

This disclosure is made in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, and the Amazon Associates Program Operating Agreement.

4. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Breaching any terms outlined in our Acceptable Use policy.
• Engaging in fraudulent or highly disruptive behaviour.

Upon termination, your right to use Kitlist will immediately cease, though certain user-generated content may remain visible according to our Privacy Policy and licensing terms.

5. Limitation of Liability

Kitlist is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. By using the platform, you acknowledge that:

• We are not responsible for direct or indirect damages resulting from your use of the site or access to third-party links or user content.
• We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
